(£161.88 INC. VAT)The LA240 Loop System provides a practical solution for hearing aid users to more easily listen to their TV or Audio equipment via the “T” or “Loop” program of their hearing aid.
With no direct connection between the user and TV or Audio equipment the user can move freely within the looped area and listen comfortably to a TV or audio equipment without the distractions of normal listening.
The Loop System is used in conjunction with a hearing aid with a “T” or “Loop” program found on many ‘behind the ear’ or ‘in the ear’ hearing aids.
The Loop system picks up the sound from a TV via a direct connection or microphone and feeds it to the amplifier. The sound is then passed to a loop of wire around the listening area, which in turn transmits the sound inductively, “magnetic sound waves”, to a hearing aid with the loop facility.
The user may then adjust the loop volume or tone to suit their hearing preference without affecting others.
The Loop System is supplied with either Loop Cable or Loop Pad.
Loop cable is placed around a room that you want to listen in. The sound can be heard anywhere inside the “looped” area and sometimes just outside the loop as well.
A Loop Pad is an alternative to loop cable and is used to create a localised or portable system to avoid interference with other systems or where confidentiality is required.

Could this equipment be applied to a narrow room, 12M x 5M for example, where the area enclosed by the loop remains below 70M2?
Yes absolutely, as long as a minimum loop cable length of 11m is adhered to it would be fine to do what you are asking.
Is there a risk of lip synchronisation problems with this system please ? It’s an LG LCD TV.
Hi, A room loop system doesn't suffer from latency issues the same as Bluetooth systems do, any sync issues would be imperceptible.
Hi We are looking for a room loop system, but have a tv in one room (upstairs) and a hifi in another room (downstairs). If we used this system, could we wire both rooms and just move the main box to each room as needed, or would we need two control bo
Hi, there's no reason why you shouldn't move the amplifier between two looped rooms.
Can the inductive loop be run at skirting board (or even under a carpet) level?
Yes, absolutely. Either is fine.
Does this connect to the TV without deadening the TV speakers?
That depends on which way you connect and how your television's software handles different inputs.
We have a Sarabec LA240 loop system running round a large room using up most of the standard cable supplied with it. Is it possible to extend the loop to an adjacent room 3.8m x 4.6m? If this is not possible to join it to the existing loop is there some other way of having a loop for the existing room and the additional room.
we do not recommend that you use more than the supplied 40m of cable, you would need another system for the adjacent room with its own connections and loop cabling.
Our Sarabec LA240 connected via a scart connector to our old tv. We have just purchased a new smart TV. please advise how it is connected without a scart port.
The LA240 was supplied to you with the connecting cables you need to hook up to the television. the most common connector type is an optical cable.
What is the differance between the LA240 Room Loop System UK and the LA240 Loop Pad System UK?
The room loop system covers the entire room, the loop pad system only covers one chair.
